Waverley Borough Council are pleased to let you know that they have now gone LIVE with the 2022 Household Support Fund as announced by the then Chancellor in the Spring Budget, for residents to apply to the open scheme. Information about the open scheme and how to apply is available on their website through the following link, Waverley Borough Council - Financial support for residents
The Fund is for those who are vulnerable and in need of help. It is designed to help with food, utilities and essential white goods and household items. Each applicant will be reviewed individually, and an award made to them based on their circumstances.
Residents of Farnham and Haslemere will apply directly to their Town Council.
Any other residents within the borough should apply through our website using the following link. If any residents require support in completing our online form, then we will be happy to call them and complete the form over the phone with them.
For any general enquiries about the Household Support Fund please contact communities@waverley.gov.uk
Additional information:
Surrey County Council allocated the Household Support Fund to boroughs and districts this month. As part of this, a significant proportion of our funding must be allocated to pensioners and we are developing a targeted scheme for those identified residents across the borough. We are not publicising this element of support on our Household Support Fund web page to avoid any confusion with the open scheme. Surrey will be supporting families and children on free school meals. However, all households are still eligible to apply to the local Waverley open scheme as detailed above. We are working in partnership with Haslemere and Farnham Town Councils, whose residents should apply directly to them.
