Gas network upgrade in Brighton Road, Godalming on Monday 26/10 for approximately 6 weeks.

Engineers will be working in Brighton Road from Crownpits Lane and progressing towards Latimer Road. This section of Brighton Road will be closed from Monday 26 October 2020. Signed diversions will be in place via the A3100, Broadford Road, A281 and the B2130. The bus stops adjacent to road work will be suspended throughout.


The contractors, Medway Civils & Utilities have permission to work extended hours if necessary, including weekends, to complete this work within the given timeframe. They are working closely with the UK Government and public health bodies to make sure they work in line with expert advice during the pandemic. They have extra safety precautions in place to protect colleagues and communities from catching or spreading the virus as they carry out safety-critical project.
