Looking for something creative and fun to occupy your children this half term? Why not get involved in one of our free Family Activity Trails, the latest of which is now available in Godalming. Waverley Borough Council Economic Development, and Cultural Services teams, have been working in partnership with Godalming Town Council, the Surrey Library Service and A Line Art to develop the trail.
The free trails have already proved popular in Farnham and Haslemere, letting you explore different locations and landmarks, pausing for fun, physical and creative challenges as you go.
Head to Godalming Library to pick up your free Family Activity Trail sheet and find out more about the town. The Godalming trail follows the riverside path through the Phillips Memorial Grounds where it leads up to Church Street and finishes by The Pepperpot.
If you have been inspired by the activity, why not book onto a free family workshop at Godalming Library on Wednesday 1 June. Join A LINE ART for this fun, interactive session where adults and children can create their own activity trails to be recreated at home. Alongside the Activity Trail, we are inviting families to help us create a large paper model town inspired by Godalming and the local area.
‘Fold Our Town’ is a free downloadable pack full of templates and ideas to get stuck into at home. Use your imagination to bring to life the local landmarks, places and spaces which are important to you. Using the templates simply draw, colour, and decorate your landmarks or design your own in the blanks provided. Carefully cut them out and fold them to bring them to life.
